Our studies of religion, the*°logies, spiritual traditions must include an understanding of the elements of class, gender, sexualities, geographies, embodiment, spiritualities that go into the shaping of notions of race.

1. How race, genders, sexualities, geographies,  embodiment, spiritualities go into the shaping of notions of class;

2.  How race, class, sexualities, embodiments, spiritualities, geographies are factors and facets of the shaping of genders;

3.  How the demonising of the “dark” leads to the war against women and their bodies and the Inquisition, until the beginning of the dismantling of women’s reproductive rights is connected to the masculinisation of the healing industry, to the hardening of Western Christian religious dogma in northern Europe, is connected to the demonising of Judaism and Islam, to the driving out of the G!ddess and absorption of earth-based religions, to the destruction of the Earth; to the mass-killing of genderqueers and kweers of all colours, is connected to the expulsion of the DARK OTHER from the body (i.e.- the expulsion of Muslims and Jews from the very “body” of Spain, etc.) African slave trade and the invasions of the Americas, Asia and the Pacific Islands, where Indigenous Peoples, Africans, and Asians were enslaved and massacred (and continue to fuel a fear of brown-skinned immigrants and the brutal murdering of brown-skinned peoples, women, kweers, etc.) because they were considered to be like women: incarnations of evil; incarnations of unbridled lust; like women, they were considered to be too connected to the body and to sex; and where the earth was destroyed because like women, the earth was considered to be too wild and needing to be dominated; like brown-skinned peoples and poor people; it too needed to be dominated and controlled. This interlocking vortex became reflected in our binary language where all that was evil was ‘dark’ and vice-versa: the DARK OTHER was soon not only people with brown skins, but anyone who was OTHER: people living with disabilities, poor people, jews, muslims, wiccans, hindus, transgender people, women, kweers, etc..

how are the ways in which concepts of nation-state and purity of borders shape how we study religions?  what are the interconnections between Religionswissenschaft and the origins of nation-states?  If bodies are divided into 'identities" and “nationalities”, each with their discreet characteristics, can they also be divided into “religions” which also have clear borders between them?
